How Quickly Time Flies

Four weeks ago I was on a plane going to Wally World (Walt Disney World) with my sister Jenny and friend Sandy. My sister Caryn and cousin Fran joined us on Saturday night. To say the least Wally World is my favorite vacation destination. This trip was a graduation present and I was treated like a Queen on this trip. Unfortunately, my sister Cindy who was supposed to vacation with us had to change her plans and didn't make this trip. Every year the "girls" take a trip to Disney with no children or husbands. For many years I was unable to make that trip because I was in school. We stayed at Old Key West on Disney property. Here is the view from our patio and some of the visitors that joined us.

My Yard is Blooming

What a fantastic holiday weekend. I spent two full days working in the garden. I went to the nursery on Friday night after work and picked up my canna plants. I then worked on the various pots (cleaning them out and turning the soil) and planted the petunias and snapdragons that I had purchased the weekend prior. I really do hate weeds but that is an evil of the garden. I hope to take more general garden picks when things begin to take shape. Right now, here are some flower pics.

Long Time Update

Long time no post.
I haven't crafted anything to completion and therefore have no crafty goodness to post.

Let's see:
The dryer ended up needing two new parts. Found out the second part was needed once the first part was installed. After the first part it was moving and tumbling but had no heat. After the heating part was replaced everything was fine. Total cost, just under $100.00. Much better than the cost of a whole new dryer.

Vacation to Wally World (Disney World) was a vacation of a lifetime. I worked out 7 of the 8 days that I was there. Was treated by my family (this was my graduation gift) like a Queen, or maybe considering the place I should say PRINCECESS!!!!
Ate the best food, had good times, lots of laughs, came back tan and rested. Great, great, great time!

Crocheted a 1lb. skein of yarn while on vacation but it didn't complete the project. Brought some stamped images that I colored maybe 1/3 of the ones that I brought. I guess I was spending too much time at the pool and parks to "complete my homework". Read a bit of a book, and didn't work on my resume at all which is probably the thing that I should have done first.

Had a lovely Mother's Day brunch with my Mom, two sisters, two cousins, niece, second cousins and brother-in-law.

I have set a goal for my 50th birthday (1/9/10) to be 50lbs thinner/lighter. Because I just don't have the same energy after working all day I have decided that I could not keep up the every day at the gym that I did on vacation. Instead I am and have so far made it to the gym 3 days a week. So far I have released (not lost because I DON'T want to "find" these lbs again) 5 pounds. I wish to be fit and fantabulous at 50.

So, in a nutshell that is what has been going on with me. I hope to do some crafting this holiday weekend as well as play in the dirt of my garden. Some of my flowers are blooming and I will post pictures.
