A Study in Cupcakes V

Here is the last of the cupcake "series". I am currently working on 150 invitations for my Mom's 80th birthday party in September. I will take a pic of one of the finished cards for tomorrow.

A Study in Cupcakes Part II

It is very hot and humid here and my garden is loving it. Here are some pics of the flowers that are blooming right now. As I was taking these pics I also saw all of the non flowers (weeds) that are also growing with the rain and hot weather. Something to add to my list of things to do, lol!!!

Tried a new piece of cardio equipment last night at the gym. It's an elliptical but it does not have movable arms. I can now see why, that puppy kicked my butt, literally. I lasted 3 minutes!!!! It concentrated on the quads and gluteus maximus. I was amazed and impressed that there was a young woman on this machine when I finished on the elliptical that I normally use. Stayed on the machine while I did 30 minutes on the bike and was on it during my little 3 minute torture. I left to go to the weight room and she was still on it. Of course, she looked fantastic, tight and toned but that sucker did me in. However, I will be back on Wednesday to get my three or perhaps 4 minutes of "fun". I will master this machine or it will kill me. Hopefully the former and not the latter.

Here is the second in my cupcake card "series", lol.

Have a terrific Tuesday!!!

P.S. Another stamp set has been listed on e-bay, #260434240674, go over and check it out.

A Study in Cupcakes

This weekend I finally finished stamping and cataloging my SU stamp sets. They are all now in the two 3-ring binders and all the stamp sets are numbered and stored in my craft cellar (basement). Next are the loose stamps that I have bought at Michael's, JoAnne's, Archiver's and independe craft stores. Then it will be the punches. I will someday be so very organized that I will scare myself. I hope that all this organization will help me get more accomplished when I have crafting time. I found that I have three stamp sets that are duplicates and will be listing them on e-bay. I will post the link when I get them listed in case you want to bid.

After weeks of very cool "fall-like" weather summer has busted out. It has been rainy, hot and humid. These are good crafting days for me as I am not a big fan of the hot and humid.

Here is one in a series of this SU stamp that I tried using different colored pencils. The cards are very similar just different colors. I am using this one to send to my childhood friend. The others are going into the craft fair sale group.

P.S. The e-bay item number is 260433825035 for the set "By Design"

Last But Not Least

Here is the last of the Mother's Day cards that I recently made. I recently got a free cabinet on locking wheels from a guy at work who did not need it anymore out in the warehouse. This is going to be the new home of all of my punches. When I have it all set up I'll take some pictures. The other thing that has kept me busy was that I have resumed the cataloging of my stamp sets. With the addition of this new cabinet I will have space above it to put a wooden crate that will hold more numbered stamp sets. So, I have been stamping my sets, putting them in plastic sleeves in a three ring binder so that I can look through the binder, find the image that I want and then retrieve it from it's storage space. I have also been coloring some stamped images and will get those made into cards soon.

I AM A WINNER!!!!!

So, I was reading some of my favorite blogs last Friday and on this very entertaining blog, Very Mary had her weekly Friday Freebie. I left a comment and won her give-away. My prize, a $10.00 shopping spree at either one of her esty shops, Magpie Mary or A Very Mary Design. I have my eyes on the vintage cotten spindles. I made a lamp out of the ones that I found in a resale shop and know that the new spindles will just add more character to the lamp. I also need to make some birthday invitations for my Mom's upcoming 80th birthday party and the "you're invited" rubber stamp will come in very handy.

A big giant thank you to Very Mary and my new freebies. I'll take and post a picture of the lamp before the new spindles and then after.

P.S. I was beaten to the punch. The spindles were bought by someone so instead I got the rubber stamp mentioned above and some very fantabulous heart shaped buttons. Still a very awesome freebie!

Better Late Than Never

I know, I know, Mother's Day is long gone. Well, you can look at it as being late or very, very early for 2010. Just grabbing supplies and trying to use them up with the patterned paper that I shuffle around.

Surprise!

Here is a card that I made for my Aunt's 70th birthday. She thinks that she is coming for a family reunion but the reunion is really a surprise birthday party.

A Little Craftiness on a Rainy Day

It was a sometimes rainy mostly overcast/cloudy weekend here in Chicago. I was able to crank out a few cards ( I will be adding them to the blog each day) and I am almost finished with a pink crocheted baby afghan. I just have to do the ruffle edge and I will have it done, perhaps tonight.

I used two more images that I colored while I was on vacation last month.

Here's another image that I colored while on vacation. Simple and sweet.

No Pictures

Well I did get a crafting project done but didn't take a picture. I finished a yellow crocheted baby afghan last night and started a pink one. I am in my first craft fair of the year on August 1 & 2 and want to get a stock of afghans ready. I have a card started that I hope to finish tonight.

Crazy at work, I need to finish up some GL audit work for our fiscal year end for our outside CPA. We were sent notice that we are being audited by the state for sales tax so that is on my plate too. Not a good time for the only other person in accounting to be out sick with the flu. Better that she keeps her germs at home, I hate being sick but especially in the summer.

Hope you all have a great Thursday!

Grilling Season

I colored this images when I was on vacation and managed to throw these two cards together last night. I guess if I stamped enough of them I could box them as bbq invites.

Yard Pics & Two Cards

ARGHHHH!!!! I put captions on all my pics when I downloaded them from my camera. Apparently those captions do not upload to my blog.
