The Forest

My brother has been going to the local forest preserve for many years with the dogs.

Now that we only have our little Gidget he has more time to document the activities of the forest. Here are some pictures that were taken during the last 6 weeks. It is amazing how tame the deer are, even Gidget is not afraid of them or they of her. After all she is a "killer chihuahua" LOL! All this only about 3 miles from my Chicago home.

Great deer pictures! Love the lush landscape of the forest! Isn't nice to be able to be right in the middle of nature? TFS- Deb
PS Glad to have found your blog!

OMG these pictures are so cool! Which forest preserve do you go to? I used to work in Chicago near the corner of Bryn Mawr and Old River Road and there were always deer in the forest preserve there -- coming right up to the edge of the road. It was so cool to see them on the way home!

Diane,
The forest is between the Kennedy expressway and Foster, just west of Old River Road near Bryn Mawr.
My brother goes early in the morning just after dawn and that is when they are all out. He walks the dog and there are a bunch of other dog walkers and runners at that time of day. I have gone near dusk and they also come out then too.
